About the role
KPMG Law is seeking an experienced manager to join its Tax Dispute Resolution & Controversy team. You will work with a diverse client base, including large multinationals and high‑wealth individuals, to manage and resolve complex tax disputes with Australian revenue authorities.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and manage client risk reviews, audits and disputes with the ATO, AusIndustry and State/Territory revenue authorities.
- Handle complex ATO audits, draft objections, brief counsel and advise on tax litigation and independent reviews.
- Collaborate nationally with KPMG Law and KPMG professionals across jurisdictions and specialist groups.
Required profile
- 6+ years of experience in corporate tax, international tax, tax law or tax dispute resolution within a Big 4, law firm or the Australian Taxation Office.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and project‑management abilities.
- Commitment to high‑quality service delivery and continuous improvement.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of Australian tax law and administrative procedures.
- Experience with ATO audit processes and tax litigation.
- Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
