Manager / Senior Manager - Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy

About the role

EY-Parthenon is hiring a Manager or Senior Manager for its Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team, based in the Meanjin office in Brisbane. The team works across a range of deals to help clients find financial, strategic and operational solutions that improve liquidity, credit availability and returns to stakeholders, within a multi-disciplinary, global team.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the national team on market-leading medium and large insolvency appointments
• Run restructuring and turnaround engagements through early intervention projects such as independent business reviews, safe harbour advice, financial advisory, counterparty reviews and liquidity reviews
• Lead assignment planning, including defining scope, clearing conflicts, budgeting and staff planning
• Deliver detailed financial and commercial analysis, identify key issues and follow them up with management or stakeholders
• Draft presentations for stakeholders and assist with delivery
• Share technical knowledge with the team and play a key role in team training
• Lead business development and build internal and external client relationships
• Supervise, coach and mentor staff at all levels

Required profile

• Degree in commerce or law or equivalent
• At least 5-8 years of related experience with a track record in restructuring and advisory work for creditors or distressed companies
• Already holds, or is willing to complete, the ARITA qualification
• Aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis, strong communication skills and a collaborative, client-service approach
