Claims Leader

About the role

Troocoo is recruiting, on behalf of a well-respected, purpose-driven Queensland insurer, an experienced Claims Leader for its claims function. The insurer is investing in its people and in a significant transformation, so the role offers the chance to help shape what comes next. It is based in the Brisbane CBD and inner suburbs.

Key responsibilities

• Coach your team through complex decisions and celebrate their wins
• Build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders across your portfolio
• Use data to understand what is working, what is not and where to focus next
• Lead your team confidently through change as the business transforms
• Work alongside a collaborative leadership group that genuinely supports each other

Required profile

• Proven track record as a people leader, not just potential
• Established people leadership in insurance or banking, ideally leading teams through change
• Experience leading in claims, complaints, customer resolution or a similar regulated environment; personal injury, CTP, life insurance or workers compensation experience is highly regarded
• Ability to balance empathy with accountability when decisions are difficult
