Manager, Fraud and Financial Crime Advisory

About the role

The Risk Management Group provides independent oversight, review and challenge across key non-financial risks, working closely with stakeholders across Banking and Financial Services to manage fraud and financial crime risks. This Manager role provides independent oversight, review and challenge of fraud risk across Banking and Financial Services, helping ensure fraud risks are identified, assessed and managed.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to review fraud controls, risk assessments, incidents and key change initiatives, giving practical advice and constructive challenge
• Monitor emerging fraud threats, industry developments and regulatory expectations to influence risk management practices and strengthen controls
• Contribute to governance reporting, thematic reviews and risk forums, communicating complex issues clearly to stakeholders

Required profile

• 5+ years' experience in fraud risk, financial crime risk, operational risk or compliance, with a focus on independent oversight, governance and risk challenge
• Experience developing control frameworks and supporting their implementation through second line oversight
• Strong understanding of external fraud risks and scams, including their effect on retail banking products and customer journeys
• Ability to conduct and review risk assessments, thematic reviews and control effectiveness assessments, and give clear risk-based recommendations
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence senior stakeholders while keeping independent judgement
