About the role
The Manager, North Statewide Coordination and Implementation, Aboriginal Self‑determination and Outcomes Division provides strategic leadership to advance Aboriginal self‑determination and improve outcomes for individuals, families and communities. This senior position shapes the delivery of place‑based initiatives and works closely with Aboriginal communities, ACCOs and government partners.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and support a high‑performing team to deliver coordinated projects, programs and priorities.
- Develop and implement engagement and collaboration strategies with Aboriginal communities, ACCOs and whole‑of‑government partners.
- Provide strategic oversight of place‑based approaches that reflect local strengths, needs and aspirations.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, briefs and high‑level communication material on complex policy and operational issues.
- Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration across the department to coordinate critical projects, including organisational change strategies.
- Drive a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience leading high‑performing teams in a government or community setting.
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal self‑determination principles and community‑focused service delivery.
- Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and inter‑sectoral stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing comprehensive reports and briefings.
- Strategic thinking and capability to influence decision‑making at senior levels.
