Maintenance Technician – Reliability & Engineering

About the role

Amazon is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join its Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering team at the Mulgrave site in Melbourne. Working the night shift on a 4‑day roster, you will keep the warehouse running safely and efficiently by maintaining material handling, packaging and distribution equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform proactive and preventative maintenance on a range of warehouse equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults in a live warehouse environment, minimizing downtime.
• Develop and implement long‑term solutions to reduce future equipment failures.
• Use specialised tools and follow health & safety standards while working on conveyors, motor controllers, inverters and sortation systems.

Required profile

• Formal trade qualification – Certificate III in Electrotechnology with a current electrical licence, or Certificate III in Engineering/Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner) recognised in Australia.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance and fault finding on material handling or automation equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Commitment to health and safety regulations.
