Maintenance Technician – Industrial Electrical

About the role

Join Dematic, a global leader in automation and robotics, as an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician on a brand‑new customer site in Tamworth, NSW. You will work in a cool‑room environment (0‑4°C) performing both preventative and reactive maintenance on critical automated systems.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on automated equipment, ensuring peak performance.
• Troubleshoot faults, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed using CMMS (training provided if needed).

Required profile

• Australian Trade Qualification – Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician.
• Unrestricted Electrical Licence (Australia).
• Ability to work comfortably in a cold‑room/freezer environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and prior maintenance experience.

Required skills

• Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Mechanical maintenance, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with automation equipment; experience with MEX CMMS is a plus.
