Maintenance Technician (Industrial Electrical)

About the role

Join Dematic, a global leader in automation and robotics, as an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician on a brand‑new customer site in Tamworth, NSW. You will work in a cool‑room environment (0‑4°C) performing both preventative and reactive maintenance on critical automated systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on automated equipment, ensuring peak performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults across electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks and respond to reactive service calls.
• Maintain accurate records in the MEX CMMS system (training provided).

Required profile

• Australian Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) with an unrestricted electrical licence.
• Ability to work comfortably in a cold‑room/freezer environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and prior maintenance experience.
• Effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Mechanical maintenance, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Automation equipment knowledge.
• Use of CMMS (MEX) – training provided.
