About the role
Join the maintenance team at Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill, a newly renovated 179‑room hotel. You will ensure guest spaces, facilities and back‑of‑house areas remain in top condition while handling a variety of hands‑on tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical work.
- Carry out painting, patching and finishing tasks to preserve the high standards of the renovated spaces.
- Conduct regular inspections, identify issues early and resolve them promptly.
- Install, repair and maintain fixtures, fittings, furniture and hotel equipment.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, keeping tools and work areas organized and safe.
Required profile
- Practical, reliable and solutions‑focused with a strong eye for detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends or on‑call shifts.
