Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Hannah St Hotel Melbourne is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of hotel maintenance, asset management and regulatory compliance. You will ensure the safety, functionality and efficiency of all building systems while supporting outstanding guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day maintenance and engineering operations across the hotel.
• Develop and manage preventative and reactive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain plant, equipment and building services to high standards.
• Manage contractor relationships and oversee external service providers.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, fire safety and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor maintenance budgets and control costs.
• Coordinate capital improvement and asset‑management projects.
• Respond promptly to operational and emergency maintenance issues.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance hotel performance.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Maintenance Manager or senior maintenance leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of building services, plant and equipment maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience managing maintenance programmes and contractors.
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety legislation.
• Excellent organisational, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
