Maintenance Electrician – Plant & Equipment

About the role

Join Mildura Fruit Company’s world‑class citrus packhouse as a Maintenance Electrician. You will keep advanced processing machinery running smoothly, ensuring fruit moves through the line safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant and equipment, including conveyors, bearings, chains and sprockets.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and restore production quickly and safely.
• Identify and report plant, equipment and safety issues, contributing to corrective actions.
• Support fabrication, modification and welding projects for equipment upgrades.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe workshop and work areas, completing all required documentation.

Required profile

• Trade qualification – preferably Cert III in Engineering (Mechanical, Fabrication or Machining).
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or food‑processing environment.
• Strong mechanical fitting skills and ability to read technical drawings.
• Proactive, safety‑first mindset with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a close‑knit team.

• MIG, TIG and arc welding
• Gas and plasma cutting
• Pneumatics and hydraulics maintenance
• Lathe and milling machine operation
• Mechanical fitting of conveyors, bearings, chains and sprockets
