Maintenance Electrician – Full‑time Plant Role

About the role

Join Australia’s largest ready‑made meal manufacturer as a full‑time Maintenance Electrician. You will work on‑site at a busy manufacturing plant, ensuring all electrical equipment and services are operational and supporting production continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to equipment and service breakdowns across the plant and commercial facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment, services and PLC systems.
• Accurately record maintenance and breakdown times in the MEX CMMS system.
• Update daily and weekly maintenance schedules for the Operations Manager and General Manager.
• Liaise with accredited third‑party contractors, monitor their competence and ensure timely completion of specialist works.
• Support the onsite maintenance team and maintain regular communication with the National Facilities Manager.
• Comply with OHS legislation, company safety policies and food safety/environmental systems.

Required profile

• Demonstrated success in a similar maintenance electrician role within a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician).
• Experience using a maintenance management CMMS (preferably MEX).
• Knowledge of PLCs and basic programming.
• Ability to achieve KPIs and work to strict time‑scale requirements.
