Apprentice Mechanic – Mobile Plant Equipment

About the role

Join Adaptalift Group as an Apprentice Mechanic working with mobile plant equipment. You will be paid while you learn, completing a 4‑year Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology and gaining hands‑on experience on real machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, maintain and repair forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and other heavy machinery in workshop and field settings.
• Work alongside experienced mechanics to gain real‑world experience from day one.
• Complete practical TAFE coursework, fully funded by the employer.
• Follow professional safety guidelines while learning.

Required profile

• Must be 18 years old (or turning 18 soon).
• Strong interest in mechanics and hands‑on work.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and safety‑first mindset.
• Team player with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Diagnosing mechanical problems.
• Servicing, maintaining and repairing mobile plant equipment.
• Working on forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and heavy machinery.
