About the role
The Logistics Specialist supports AWS Infrastructure Services by managing the onsite parts room in Melbourne data centers, ensuring the right hardware components are available at the right time.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain inventory levels to support build and repair activities.
- Receive, store, pick, and deliver parts to hardware technicians.
- Perform loading, unloading, and transportation of parts between sites.
- Conduct physical cycle counts and keep accurate stock records.
- Maintain safety, organization, and cleanliness using Amazon 7S principles.
Required profile
- At least 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehousing practices.
- Experience in logistics operations.
- Ability to lift loads up to 49 pounds and perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, squatting, and bending.
- Willingness to travel to other Melbourne metro sites using personal transport, with travel costs reimbursed.
