About the role
The Logistics Officer is responsible for delivering efficient logistics and supply‑chain services to keep operational assets, equipment and inventory ready for major incidents, events and disasters. The role supports both routine operations and emergency deployments, often outside standard business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain readiness of assets, equipment and inventory for emergency situations.
- Provide client‑focused logistics and supply‑chain support.
- Operate and maintain material‑handling equipment safely in line with WHS legislation.
- Perform manual handling tasks following safe work practices.
- Deploy with the unit during emergent situations, including overtime as authorised.
Required profile
- Demonstrated knowledge of logistics duties with a strong client‑service focus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to high‑quality customer service and workplace equity.
Required skills
- Open Queensland “C” Class Driver’s Licence (manual transmission) or equivalent.
- Current Queensland Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver’s Licence or equivalent.
- Current photographic Workplace Health and Safety High‑Risk Work Licence – LF (Forklift licence).
- Competence in operating material‑handling equipment safely.
