Locum RMO/JMO Shifts – Emergency Medicine (August 2026)

About the role

We are seeking Resident Medical Officers (RMO) and Junior Medical Officers (JMO) to cover locum shifts in the Emergency Department at Grafton Base Hospital throughout August 2026. The role offers flexible shift patterns across morning, swing and evening rosters, providing hands‑on experience in a busy Level 3/4 emergency setting.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver acute emergency care to patients presenting to the department, including assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
• Manage patients in the 10 acute beds, 2 resuscitation bays, dedicated paediatric room, Fast Track and the 6‑bed Short Stay Unit.
• Collaborate with senior clinicians and the FACEM team on each shift to ensure safe and effective patient management.
• Document clinical encounters accurately in the hospital’s electronic medical record system.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Eligibility to work as an RMO or JMO in an Australian emergency department.
• Willingness to work any of the August 2026 shift dates (AM 07:00‑15:30, Swing 12:00‑20:30, PM 15:00‑23:30).
• Strong commitment to teamwork and patient safety.
