About the role
This position involves conducting regulatory litigation across NCAT and various NSW courts on behalf of a respected regulatory authority. You will draft legal documents, investigate allegations of unqualified practice, and collaborate closely with internal regulatory and investigations teams.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and conduct regulatory litigation in NCAT and NSW courts.
- Draft court documents, submissions, legal advice, and correspondence.
- Investigate allegations of unqualified legal practice.
- Gather evidence, prepare witnesses, and brief counsel as required.
- Work closely with internal regulatory, investigations, and professional standards teams.
Required profile
- Admitted lawyer holding a current practising certificate.
- Experience in litigation, regulatory enforcement, professional discipline, investigations, or a comparable disputes practice.
- Sound judgment with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple matters.
- Clear understanding of procedural fairness, professional obligations, and model litigant standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication, stakeholder management, and collaborative working style.
