Legal Counsel – Property & Regulatory Law

About the role

This position sits within a specialist in‑house legal team that operates at the intersection of property law, regulation, public interest and commercial decision‑making. You will work alongside eight experienced lawyers, providing advice that influences significant outcomes for Queensland and its key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Advising on complex property and titling matters.
• Working across commercial, corporate and regulatory issues.
• Supporting litigation and dispute management.
• Contributing to strategic projects and industry change initiatives.
• Collaborating with government agencies, industry bodies and senior decision‑makers.

Required profile

• Experience in property law, conveyancing, land titles, succession law or a related practice area.
• Understanding of Torrens title principles and the Queensland land‑titling system.
• Familiarity with the legal and regulatory framework supporting eConveyancing and property transactions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent drafting and stakeholder‑management capability.
• A genuine interest in complex legal issues and public‑interest work.
