Legal Counsel - Property (3-6 PQE)

About the role

A well-known mixed-use property development company with decades of experience in the Australian market is looking for an experienced commercial property lawyer to join its in-house legal team in Sydney. The role sits alongside the General Counsel and covers mixed-use development projects across their full life cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely and commercial legal advice to the business on mixed-use development projects, working closely with the General Counsel.
• Work with key stakeholders including Development, Construction, Bids & Acquisitions, Sales & Marketing, Finance and Asset Management.

Required profile

• 3-6 years of post-admission experience in commercial property law.
• Experience gained at a well-regarded boutique or mid-sized law firm.
• Prior in-house experience is not required.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of commercial property law.
• Interest in learning about construction contracts; prior construction law experience is not required.
• Open-mindedness about the type of work done.
