Leading Hand – Structures Team

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Leading Hand to join the structures team on the ICON Water Treatment Plant project in Canberra. You will work closely with supervisors to keep concrete works and heavy‑lift activities progressing safely, efficiently and on schedule in a fast‑paced site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support concrete pours and finishing works.
• Assist with planning and execution of heavy lifts.
• Coordinate labour, plant and subcontractors to maintain workflow.
• Work with engineers and supervisors to sequence works and resolve basic constructability issues.
• Maintain safety, quality and compliance standards on‑site.

Required profile

• Strong experience in structural construction.
• Proven experience as a Leading Hand or readiness to step into the role.
• Valid Construction White Card and any relevant tickets.
• Current driver’s licence and own transport.
• Team‑focused attitude with strong communication and organisational skills.
