Leading Hand – Civil Construction

About the role

The Leading Hand will oversee the delivery of minor civil infrastructure and urban development projects in the Brisbane area, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange plant, labour, and material resources for each project.
• Direct and monitor subcontractors, suppliers, and plant hire companies.
• Control survey requirements and daily activity costs.
• Ensure compliance with OHS, environmental, and construction program requirements.
• Report non‑conformances and recommend remedial actions.
• Maintain daily site activity records and client quality expectations.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Civil Construction.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Proven leadership experience on civil infrastructure or urban development sites.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high‑quality projects.
