About the role
An experienced Senior Java Developer with 5-7 years of experience is sought, with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, database technologies and cloud-native development. The developer designs, develops, tests and maintains scalable, high-performance enterprise applications and works closely with architects, technical leads, business stakeholders, DevOps and development teams.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Core Java and Spring Boot
- Build scalable microservices-based applications and integrate RESTful APIs
- Take part in technical design discussions with architects and technical leads, and turn requirements into software solutions
- Write clean, tested code, review it and follow coding and design standards
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis and optimise performance, scalability and reliability
- Work with Oracle and MongoDB databases, and with IBM MQ and other messaging technologies
- Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, deployments and releases, and use Docker and Kubernetes
- Participate in all SDLC phases, from requirements analysis to production support, and help improve development processes
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- 5-7 years of hands-on software development experience, mainly with Java and Spring Boot
- Strong experience building enterprise applications and microservices
- Good understanding of REST APIs, databases, messaging and CI/CD practices
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, able to work with architects, technical leads, developers, QA, DevOps and business stakeholders
