About the role

An experienced Senior Java Developer with 5-7 years of experience is sought, with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, database technologies and cloud-native development. The developer designs, develops, tests and maintains scalable, high-performance enterprise applications and works closely with architects, technical leads, business stakeholders, DevOps and development teams.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Core Java and Spring Boot
Build scalable microservices-based applications and integrate RESTful APIs
Take part in technical design discussions with architects and technical leads, and turn requirements into software solutions
Write clean, tested code, review it and follow coding and design standards
Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis and optimise performance, scalability and reliability
Work with Oracle and MongoDB databases, and with IBM MQ and other messaging technologies
Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, deployments and releases, and use Docker and Kubernetes
Participate in all SDLC phases, from requirements analysis to production support, and help improve development processes

Required profile

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
5-7 years of hands-on software development experience, mainly with Java and Spring Boot
Strong experience building enterprise applications and microservices
Good understanding of REST APIs, databases, messaging and CI/CD practices
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, able to work with architects, technical leads, developers, QA, DevOps and business stakeholders
