About the role
A global mining organisation is looking for an experienced Domain Technical Lead in Brisbane to provide technical and people leadership across a high-performing software engineering team. The role sits in a digital environment focused on innovation, driving the design, development and delivery of scalable enterprise solutions while championing engineering excellence, DevOps best practices, cloud technologies and AI-driven innovation. It is advertised as a 6-month initial contract.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-scale digital solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentorship to a team of full-stack engineers.
- Drive engineering standards across software development, DevOps and operational excellence.
- Champion code quality through reviews, documentation and best-practice delivery frameworks.
- Work with Product Managers, Product Owners and technical stakeholders to define architecture and improve engineering practices.
- Collaborate with leadership teams on technology strategy, quarterly planning and delivery objectives.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Ensure applications are secure, scalable, maintainable and aligned with business objectives.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, engineering patterns and AI capabilities.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering.
- Proven people leadership experience, including mentoring and developing engineering teams.
- Experience working within digital transformation environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Exposure to data, analytics and AI solutions is highly regarded; experience in resources, asset maintenance or operational technology environments is advantageous.
Required skills
- Strong expertise in C#, React and TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of DevOps, cloud-native architectures, platform engineering and modern software delivery.
- Experience with Azure or similar cloud environments.
- Strong background in solution architecture and enterprise-scale systems.
