Calypso Business Analyst - Collateral
DXC Luxoft · Sydney
Job description
About the role
A leading Australian financial institution is looking for a Collateral Migration Business Analyst to join its team and lead the migration of collateral management from a legacy system to Calypso. The role is central to a major post-trade transformation program, responsible for designing and delivering the end-to-end data migration strategy, ensuring data integrity, reconciliation and a controlled cutover into the client's clearing and settlement ecosystem. The position is based in Sydney and relocation is friendly.
Key responsibilities
- Design the end-to-end collateral migration strategy, including approach, sequencing, controls and success criteria.
- Migrate existing trade data into Calypso as Collateral Exposure trades, representing collateral positions correctly.
- Lead source-data discovery, extraction, source-to-target mapping and transformation rules for static and transactional data.
- Define and execute migration of static data (Counterparty, SDI) and existing cash positions.
- Set up and validate margin call contracts, including pricing, allocations, netting rules and eligibility within a CCP context.
- Build and maintain Calypso upload templates, manage loading, reconciliation and data-quality validation.
- Prepare and own the migration run book, covering pre-migration checks, load sequence, validation gates, rollback and post-load reconciliation.
- Coordinate stakeholders across business, operations, technology and vendor teams, and participate in API design for upstream and downstream integration.
- Plan and run dress rehearsals and cutover, define controls and reconciliation checkpoints, and support defect resolution and production validation.
Required profile
- 10+ years in capital markets, with 5+ years hands-on Calypso experience, preferably on collateral migration (contracts, static/reference data, cash and security positions).
- Strong understanding of collateral management implementation for a Central Clearing Party (CCP).
- Proven data-migration experience, including loading data as Collateral Exposure trades.
- Experience with source-to-target mapping, transformation rules and data-quality rules.
- Experience with cutover, dress rehearsals, validation and post-migration reconciliation, and with owning migration sequencing decisions.
- Clear communication with business and technology teams.
Required skills
- Configuring Calypso collateral agreements (IM/VM, GMRA) and haircut/threshold/MTA parameters.
- SQL for extraction, reconciliation and data-quality validation.
- Nice to have: API design and integration experience, knowledge of CCP clearing and settlement, SQL/XML/Java, Calypso SWIFT integrations, and CFA or FRM certification.
