Lawyer - Commercial Insurance Litigation

About the role

The role involves handling a diverse portfolio of insurance and commercial litigation matters, ranging from coverage and indemnity disputes to cargo recovery, marine, aviation, road and rail litigation. You will work closely with a senior partner and advise insurers, corporations, freight forwarders and government bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Reviewing claims and providing strategic legal advice.
• Drafting court documents, pleadings and correspondence.
• Managing matters from commencement through to resolution.
• Appearing before courts and tribunals where appropriate.

Required profile

• 3–5 years post‑admission experience in insurance or commercial litigation.
• Experience in transport insurance, cargo recoveries or policy coverage disputes is advantageous.
• Strong drafting, analytical and advocacy abilities.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
