Lakebase Specialist Sales

About the role

Databricks is looking for a Lakebase Sales Specialist Account Executive to drive adoption of Lakebase, a fully‑managed Postgres service for intelligent applications. Based in Sydney, you will partner with regional Account Executives and cross‑functional teams to grow revenue and shape the operational data foundation for AI‑native workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and close new Lakebase opportunities across a defined territory, collaborating with account teams.
• Lead outcome‑focused conversations with platform, data, and IT personas, demonstrating how Lakebase accelerates feature delivery and improves governance.
• Run complex, multi‑threaded sales cycles from discovery through negotiation and close.
• Orchestrate proof‑of‑value and POCs with solution architects to validate benefits for OLTP, reverse‑ETL and AI/ML workloads.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Customer Success and Partner teams to develop territory plans and co‑selling motions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience, consistently exceeding quota in multi‑stakeholder deals.
• Proven success selling data platforms, operational databases or related data/AI infrastructure to technical and business buyers.
• Strong executive presence, able to whiteboard architectures and lead C‑level conversations.
• Ability to act as a force multiplier across business units, driving strategic account engagement and field enablement.
