About the role
Proton Intelligence is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support routine electrochemical experiments and laboratory operations at its R&D facility in Clayton, Victoria. This full‑time, on‑site position reports to James Carthew and involves preparing reliable solutions, maintaining equipment, and documenting experimental work.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out routine electrochemical experiments using assigned methods, record results and flag unexpected findings.
- Prepare, test and validate solutions and calibrants according to established procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment such as pH meters and analytical balances, keeping accurate records.
- Provide technical support for laboratory waste disposal in line with procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds to understand design requirements and communicate progress.
Required profile
- A tertiary qualification or degree in Chemistry, or an equivalent technician qualification; recent graduates are welcome.
- Careful laboratory practice with strong attention to detail and clear documentation skills.
- Effective communication and a cooperative approach to teamwork.
