About the role

Six Degrees Albany is a multi-service hospitality venue in Albany combining a bar, restaurant and accommodation, with live music and a bold menu. It is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Hands to support a busy kitchen operation, with a focus on cleanliness and efficiency. Applications open on 07/10/2025.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation.
• Maintain clean workstations and comply with WHS standards at all times.
• Load and unload the dishwasher efficiently throughout service.
• Occasionally support front-of-house staff with glassware cleaning.
• Carry out additional cleaning and preparation tasks as directed by the Head Chef.

Required profile

• At least 12 months' experience in a kitchen hand or similar kitchen support role (a must).
• Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends and Tuesday nights (a must); lunch kitchen hand shifts may also be available during peak periods.
• A current Police Check is required for applicants over 18.
• A Safe Food Handling Certificate is required; it can be completed before starting if not already held.
• Strong work ethic, willingness to take direction and a positive team attitude.
