Front of House Supervisor

About the role

Six Degrees Albany is a multi-service hospitality venue in Albany combining a bar, restaurant and accommodation, with live music and a bold menu. It is looking for an experienced Front of House Supervisor to join the team on a casual basis, with the genuine opportunity to progress to a permanent position for the right candidate. The role is available for an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Run busy shifts smoothly and efficiently, leading, briefing and motivating the FOH team before and during service
• Train new and existing staff in service standards, venue procedures and compliance requirements
• Oversee opening and closing procedures and assist the Procurement team with stock management, including stocktake, receiving and rotation
• Handle cash, EFTPOS and end-of-day reconciliation accurately
• Manage table reservations, waitlists and seating flow with the FOH Manager, and liaise with kitchen staff for timely service
• Upsell food, beverages and venue offerings to drive revenue
• Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, and keep the service area clean and compliant with food safety standards
• Maintain compliance with RSA requirements, liquor licensing regulations and health and safety policies

Required profile

• Current RSA (a must) and Approved Manager Certificate and Card (a must)
• Minimum 12 months' experience as a FOH Supervisor, or 2 years as a front of house team member ready to move into supervision
• Rotating roster availability including weekdays, weekends and evenings (a must)
• Police check required before starting

Required skills

• Broad beverage knowledge (wine, spirits, cocktails, beer) and the ability to make quality coffee
• POS systems and reservation software (Now Book It experience highly regarded)
• Cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation
• Understanding of RSA obligations and liquor licensing compliance
