Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Aspire Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and oversee housekeeping operations at Six Degrees Albany. The role also supervises cleaning and hygiene standards across the three Albany restaurants: Six Degrees, Chanya Thai and Venice Restaurant. The successful candidate works alongside the current supervisor to manage housekeeping staff, train new team members and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping of hotel/motel rooms, including shared common areas such as bathrooms.
• Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure consistent standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Ensure rooms are prepared in time for guest check-in and turnover.
• Work with housekeeping staff to keep all restaurant areas and rooms clean.
• Lead, train and mentor housekeeping and cleaning staff.
• Work with Operations to implement cleaning protocols and meet operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and coordinate with Procurement for timely ordering.
• Maintain accurate records of housekeeping procedures and inspections.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and feedback, and report maintenance issues or room damage.

Required profile

• Minimum two years' experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, chemicals and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse team and work under pressure.
• Availability on a rotating roster including weekends.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
