Kitchen Attendant (Part-Time)

About the role

Ibis Adelaide, a purpose-built brand hotel opened in 2014 with 311 rooms, a restaurant and bar and a conference space, is looking for a part-time Kitchen Attendant / Kitchen Steward. This is an entry-level position within a team that keeps the hotel kitchens and washing-up areas clean and tidy, with room to learn and expand your skills.

Key responsibilities

• Wash dishes and operate the commercial dishwasher
• Wash pots and pans by hand
• Assist with basic food preparation duties, with opportunities to learn
• Keep all surfaces clean and sanitised
• Keep floors and work areas clear of hazards and obstructions
• Operate kitchen cleaning equipment responsibly

Required profile

• Energetic and self-motivated, with attention to detail
• Passion for giving guests an exceptional experience
• Organised, safe-minded and a great team player
• Passionate about maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Required skills

• Understanding of food safety and hygiene; a Basic Food Safety Certificate under Australian standards is an advantage
