Key Account Manager - Retail Technology (ANZ)

About the role

Sensormatic Solutions, the retail business of Johnson Controls, is looking for a Key Account Manager to drive growth across Australia and New Zealand. The role expands strategic customer relationships, develops new business, manages channel partnerships and supports global retail accounts in the region. It is a highly visible position combining account management, new business development and executive stakeholder engagement, based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

• Grow revenue and market share across an assigned portfolio of retail customers
• Develop and run strategic account plans focused on retention, expansion and long-term partnership
• Identify, qualify and close new business in key retail verticals
• Build a strong pipeline through prospecting and market engagement
• Partner with channel partners, distributors and technology alliances
• Lead complex deals from discovery through negotiation and contract closure
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders
• Work with Customer Success, Professional Services, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance and Service Delivery teams
• Maintain pipeline, forecasting and opportunity tracking in Salesforce
• Represent Australia and New Zealand in regional and global business reviews

Required profile

• Proven success in enterprise sales, account management or business development in retail technology, SaaS, security, analytics or related fields
• Experience selling complex technology solutions to large enterprise customers
• Track record of generating and closing new opportunities
• Consultative, value-based selling and strategic relationship management
• Experience engaging senior executives and C-suite stakeholders
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, results-driven environment

Required skills

• Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms
• Retail technology, RFID, traffic analytics, computer vision or retail intelligence experience is highly regarded
