Junior Python Developer

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Junior Python Developer to join our fully remote engineering team. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early‑career developers who want to gain hands‑on experience in Python, backend engineering, and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain Python applications and backend services.
• Assist in building RESTful APIs and integrating third‑party services.
• Write clean, well‑documented code and unit tests.
• Debug, troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers and product teams on new features.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies.
• Support database development and query optimisation.
• Maintain technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
• 0–1 year of relevant experience or academic projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Object‑oriented programming concepts and data structures.
• SQL and relational databases.
• Git version control.
• Understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
• Familiarity with Django, Flask or FastAPI.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQLite.
• Basic knowledge of Linux environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud (optional).
