IT Trade Desk Support Analyst (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

This 6‑month contract position provides maternity‑leave coverage for an IT Trade Desk Support Analyst in a high‑availability trading environment. The analyst will be the primary point of contact for internal end users, delivering on‑site support to keep daily business operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑ and second‑level support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, video‑conferencing tools (Zoom, MS Teams), IP phones and peripherals across Sydney and remote sites.
• Act as Incident Manager for outages, ensuring timely escalation, communication with stakeholders and resolution.
• Maintain Windows 10/11, Office 365, Active Directory, VDI solutions and trading applications such as Bloomberg, IRESS and Refinitiv.
• Assist with global projects including Windows 11 rollout, hardware refreshes and infrastructure upgrades.
• Handle daily IT tasks: backups, patch deployments, virus definition updates, security compliance and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of IT support experience in a financial services or trading environment.
• Strong troubleshooting ability under pressure and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and adapt to shifting priorities.

Required skills

• Windows 10/11, Office 365, Active Directory, VDI.
• Enterprise hardware (HP desktops/laptops, Cisco VoIP phones, printers).
• Trading platforms: Bloomberg, IRESS, Refinitiv.
• Patch management, backup processes, security compliance.
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco).
