IT Support and Systems Administrator

About the role

Litchfield Council is looking for an IT professional to take ownership of IT issues, coordinate technical support and make sure problems are resolved. This is a varied, permanent full-time role combining practical IT support with systems administration, data integrity and information management. You will help staff resolve technical issues, coordinate external IT providers and follow problems through to resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot IT hardware, software and systems to support day-to-day Council operations
• Coordinate external IT contractors and consultants to resolve issues and meet service standards
• Administer Council's business systems, including Authority, InfoXpert and InfoCouncil, with training provided where needed
• Maintain IT asset registers covering laptops, monitors, chargers and other equipment

Required profile

• Ideally 2 to 3 years' experience in a similar IT support, systems administration or IT operations role
• Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Technically minded, comfortable with both hardware and software
• Solutions focused, proactive and organised, with good communication skills

• Salary of $100k-$107k plus superannuation, salary sacrifice and 17.5% leave loading
