IT Officer

About the role

The IT Officer role is a critical position within ATSICHS Brisbane’s IT department, providing advanced technical support to end‑users while ensuring the security and performance of IT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems to maintain optimal performance and security.
• Monitor and enforce IT security measures, including access control, endpoint protection, and backup solutions.
• Install and configure hardware and software, and identify opportunities for security and infrastructure improvements.
• Create and maintain documentation for systems, configurations, procedures, and project risks/issues.
• Deliver services in line with the IT team’s SLA, focusing on high‑quality customer service.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar IT role.
• Certificate 4 in a relevant field.
• Ability to empathise with users, manage multiple tasks, and work collaboratively.
• Commitment to staying current with emerging technologies and best practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Windows Server.
• Networking knowledge.
• Azure cloud services.
