Intermediate / Senior Accountant – Pharmacy & Healthcare Clients

About the role

Pitcher Partners is looking for an Accountant to join its firm, which focuses on pharmacy and healthcare clients. You will be part of a dynamic, collaborative team, receive mentorship and deliver taxation, financial and business advisory services. The role suits an experienced accountant with a strong background in business services who wants to advance their career with a sophisticated client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and take an active part in complex accounting and taxation engagements
• Act as a regular point of contact for clients, ensuring consistent, high-quality service
• Work as part of a team with Managers and Partners to achieve client success

Required profile

• Relevant experience as an Accountant in a business advisory environment
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Commerce majoring in Accounting
• Ability to understand client needs and deliver a high level of client service
• Well-refined oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and collaborate within a team
• Australian citizenship or a current valid Australian work visa; proof of eligibility may be required

Required skills

• Experience preparing GST, FBT and payroll tax returns
• Accounting and tax compliance, including financial statements, tax reconciliations, income tax returns and tax effect accounting for companies, trusts and tax consolidated groups
• Client accounting software such as MYOB and Xero, and larger enterprise products (an advantage)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and handling large datasets
