Intermediate Auditor

About the role

As an Intermediate Auditor you will work with a diverse client base that includes ASX listed companies across sectors such as mining, technology, financial services, property, education, health and not‑for‑profit. The role is permanent, full‑time, based in the Brisbane CBD office with travel to client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with clients on audit and accounting queries.
• Collate and document audit evidence over material balances and transactions.
• Draft annual financial reports.
• Conduct audit planning, execution and completion procedures.
• Perform statutory audits with general purpose financial reporting.
• Assist senior staff with ad‑hoc assignments and review junior audit work papers.
• Complete other assurance engagements as they arise.

Required profile

• Commerce or Business degree majoring in Accounting, currently studying CA/CPA.
• At least 2 years’ experience as an External Auditor in a mid‑tier or top‑tier audit firm.
• Understanding of IFRS/AASB, Australian Auditing Standards and relevant legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and client‑relationship skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office package.
