Insurance Solicitor / Associate

About the role

Barry Nilsson is seeking a Solicitor or Associate to join its national Insurance & Health practice in Perth. The role focuses on defendant insurance work, particularly professional indemnity matters, and offers the chance to work alongside a team of specialist lawyers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of professional indemnity claims and related litigation.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to achieve favourable outcomes.
• Collaborate with senior lawyers, including the practice principal, on complex risk‑related issues.

Required profile

• 1‑4 years post‑admission experience in defendant insurance, with a focus on professional indemnity.
• Proven ability to independently manage file loads and deliver results.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and collaborative approach.

Required skills

• Experience in professional indemnity litigation.
• Ability to manage client relationships effectively.
