Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

LGT Wealth Management is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to join its Technology team in Sydney. You will provide operational support across Windows and Linux servers, Azure, Microsoft 365, identity services and networking, ensuring business‑critical applications run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support core infrastructure including Windows/Linux servers, Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, file services, networking, backups, monitoring and local data‑centre environments.
• Administer access and identity services, handling SaaS integrations via SAML, OIDC and SCIM for SSO, provisioning and federation.
• Resolve infrastructure, application and integration incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and provide second‑ and third‑level support.
• Support production deployments, environment readiness, scheduled jobs, integration services and operational handovers.
• Deliver regular patching, vulnerability remediation, certificate management and disaster‑recovery testing.
• Improve reliability through scripting, automation, proactive monitoring, documentation and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• 4+ years of enterprise infrastructure operations experience, preferably in a regulated or financial‑services environment.
• Strong Windows Server administration with knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and enterprise file services.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including SaaS integrations using SAML, OIDC and SCIM.
• Solid networking troubleshooting across LAN, VLAN, Wi‑Fi and firewalls.
• Experience with backup, recovery, disaster‑recovery, monitoring, incident response and root‑cause analysis.

Required skills

• PowerShell or Python scripting for automation.
• Linux administration and container platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker) – preferred.
• CI/CD and infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, GitLab or ArgoCD – preferred.
• Certificate management, vulnerability remediation, compliance controls, monitoring and capacity management.
