About the role
The Scottish Ambulance Service is seeking a motivated Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Auditor to join its IPC Service in the East Region. The role will support planned audit activities across ambulance stations and vehicles, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, infection prevention and safe patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver scheduled audits of stations and vehicles, uploading results promptly and accurately.
- Analyse audit data, identify trends and produce clear reports to support regional IPC governance.
- Provide constructive feedback, training and practical guidance to staff, managers and contracted cleaning teams.
- Support compliance with the NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification monitoring framework and internal monitoring platforms.
- Travel across the East Region, including overnight stays, to revisit sites as required.
Required profile
- Experience in infection prevention and control, cleaning standards, audit, assessment, compliance or quality governance.
- Relevant qualification at SCQF Level 8/9 or equivalent experiential learning.
- Full, valid driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the East Region.
- Organised, confident working independently and able to communicate findings clearly and professionally.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and electronic reporting systems.
