Emergency Enrolled Nurse

About the role

The Emergency Department at Ryde Hospital is expanding and modernising. We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our dynamic team, delivering safe, patient‑centred care in a fast‑paced emergency environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to emergency patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Administer medications in line with LHD policies and the Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and effective patient care.
• Document care accurately and communicate patient status to the supervising RN.
• Participate in the department’s growth initiatives, including the ongoing $479 million hospital redevelopment.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to providing culturally safe care; applicants of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
