Indigenous Engagement Lead

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a First Nations Engagement Lead to implement the Indigenous Engagement Strategy for the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project in Brisbane. You will work closely with Indigenous communities, Elders and project teams to ensure cultural heritage and participation goals are met.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Indigenous Engagement Strategy across the rail project.
• Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and Elders.
• Ensure compliance with Native Title Laws and Cultural Heritage Management Plans.
• Achieve workforce and business participation targets for Indigenous inclusion.
• Facilitate procurement opportunities for Indigenous‑owned businesses.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on engagement performance metrics.
• Advise project teams on cultural sensitivities and heritage matters.

Required profile

• Degree or post‑graduate qualification in Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, Indigenous Studies or related field (desirable).
• Extensive experience in Indigenous employment, training and community engagement.
• Experience in social procurement and supplier diversity.
• Proven track record implementing Cultural Heritage Management Plans and Indigenous Participation Plans.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Indigenous communities and stakeholders.
