ICT Support Officer

About the role

Southern Cross Care WA, one of Western Australia's largest aged care organisations, is looking for an ICT Support Officer to assist in keeping its ICT function running efficiently. The role covers ICT field technician duties such as installing, maintaining and repairing equipment and systems across sites in Western Australia, and is based at the central office in Rivervale. It reports to the ICT Infrastructure and Support Services Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair ICT equipment and systems across SCCWA sites, including thin clients, desktops, laptops, scanners, printers and audio-visual equipment
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, document technical procedures and support user tickets
• Maintain system applications, liaise with applications vendors and provide out-of-hours support to protect the security, continuity and availability of infrastructure and systems
• Support the VoIP telephony service, including monitoring network data links and acting on loss of voice services

Required profile

• Formal IT qualifications (degree or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of technical support experience in enterprise system applications serving 1,000+ users
• Full driver's licence, as travel to other sites is required
• Experience with change and release management procedures

Required skills

• ITIL practices, progress towards certification or relevant knowledge highly regarded
• Hardware, software and networking support
