Human Resources Graduate

About the role

BMD, in joint venture with Gamuda Engineering Australia, is seeking an HR Graduate to support the $624 million Elizabeth Drive Upgrade and Mamre Road Upgrade Stage 2 project near Western Sydney International Airport. This hands‑on role offers exposure across the full employee lifecycle within a major infrastructure project.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment and talent sourcing activities.
• Assist with onboarding, pre‑employment checks and workforce administration.
• Maintain employee records, probation processes and movement tracking.
• Coordinate training, competency assessments and employee development initiatives.
• Drive employee engagement, off‑boarding and workforce transitions.
• Provide generalist HR support and project‑specific assistance.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or tertiary qualification in Human Resources, graduating by December 2026.
• Strong communication skills and professional confidence when interacting with staff and managers.
• Excellent organisational ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced project environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality work.
• Professional approach with ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
