Senior HR Business Partner

About the role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Senior HR Business Partner will own the people and culture function for Altura Learning, a purpose‑driven digital learning business in the care sector. This hands‑on role covers the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, workforce planning and organisational change.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and performance management.
• Provide commercially sound, practical HR advice to senior leaders and build frameworks, processes and practices that enable high performance.
• Lead organisational change initiatives and workforce planning to support business growth.
• Navigate complex employee relations matters and ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation.

Required profile

• Experienced HR generalist with strong commercial mindset and high emotional intelligence.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership, handle difficult conversations and deliver results in a fast‑moving environment.
• Proactive, resource‑ful and execution‑focused, comfortable rolling up sleeves and juggling competing priorities.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and experience in a standalone HR role or SME.
