About the role
The Housekeeping Room Attendant joins the Housekeeping Department of Capella Sydney, a luxury heritage hotel in the heart of the city. You will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort in guest rooms, ensuring every stay meets the brand’s Forbes‑approved expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain guest rooms to the highest quality standards, following hotel policies and Forbes standards.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest and internal housekeeping requests and complaints.
- Prepare and replenish cleaning chemicals and supplies safely each shift.
- Change guest linen daily, collect soiled linen, and keep pantry, storage cabinets and toilets tidy.
- Report any issues or guest feedback to the Supervisor, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, and Executive Housekeeper.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or resort.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
- Basic spoken English.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Required skills
- Knowledge of hotel cleaning procedures, chemicals and surface care.
