Business Development Executive – Corporate & MICE

About the role

The Business Development Executive – Corporate & MICE will drive new revenue by prospecting and securing corporate and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions business for Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport. This full‑time position works closely with sales, events and revenue teams to grow room nights and event revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new corporate and MICE business across the Sydney Airport precinct and wider market.
• Develop and manage a strong pipeline of sales opportunities, including lead generation, proposals, quotations and RFPs.
• Build and nurture relationships with key clients, event organisers, PCOs and associations.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations, site inspections and familiarisation visits.
• Grow existing accounts, reactivate dormant accounts and achieve individual sales, room‑night and MICE revenue targets.
• Attend networking events, trade shows, sales missions and client functions.

Required profile

• Previous experience in business development, hotel sales, corporate or MICE sales, preferably within hospitality, events or tourism.
• Proactive, commercially focused approach with strong negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with hotel sales or CRM systems such as Delphi, Opera or Salesforce.
