Hotel Manager - Pre-Opening (Punthill Albury)

About the role

Punthill Albury is an 83-apartment hotel in Albury's CBD, featuring studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments with kitchens, laundry and workspace, plus conference facilities, a gym and secure parking. It is set to open in early 2027 and will serve the Albury-Wodonga region. As Hotel Manager you will guide the property through pre-opening, ramp-up, stabilisation and the path to profitability.

Key responsibilities

• During pre-opening: build the team, structure, suppliers and operational processes, spend significant time on-site meeting pre-opening tasks and timelines, and collaborate with the Development team and key stakeholders
• Build business development relationships with corporate partners and drive growth once the hotel is open
• Optimise business turnover and delivery of operating profit
• Manage daily hotel operations in line with the Veri-Best Framework
• Establish a high-performance team and optimise guest satisfaction
• Drive business compliance, critical incident management, facility and asset management, and management administration and reporting

Required profile

• Approved Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency or visa with approved working rights)
• First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain one)
• Willingness to obtain a liquor licence at the employer's expense
• Demonstrated experience leading a team in a customer service environment and resolving complaints
• Attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, and an ownership mindset
